AWS® Shielded Metal Arc Welding Certification

Earn nationally recognized credentials through our American Welding Society Accredited Testing Facility. The shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) process uses high welding speeds and can be performed outdoors and in windy conditions, making this welding type favorable for mechanics. Certified welder tests developed by welding trade authorities provide a definitive set of procedures specifying how to execute welds correctly. The welding credentials you will earn at Southwest’s AWS ATF are nationally recognized and can benefit your salary increase and employment prospects.

CDL Certification

Earn a Commercial Driver’s License. Utilizing a mix of classroom, simulation, and on-the-road training, graduates of this program will obtain the knowledge and skills required to become a CDL Class A licensed driver.
