Simulations Lab

Our healthcare technology simulation lab is designed to facilitate client care across the lifespan in multiple care settings.

Control Rool

The control room allows live video and audio access to the lab and simulators, providing a realistic clinical experience for healthcare technology students.

Debriefing Room

A spacious conference room equipped with a large screen that allows students to review their clinical performance and reflect on their simulation learning experiences.

Our Simulators

A medical training mannequin lying on a hospital bed while a clinician wearing blue gloves uses a bag-valve mask to ventilate the mannequin through a clear face mask. The clinician is dressed in a white lab coat with a stethoscope visible, and the manual resuscitator bag is connected to the mask by clear tubing in a clinical simulation setting.

Laerdal SimMan3G

This simulator allows students to experience the care of an adult male client with realistic heart, lung, & bowel sounds as well as pulse points and simulated seizure activity.

Medical training mannequin lying on a hospital bed with head tilted back while a gloved hand inserts a thin nasal swab into one nostril. The mannequin has light-colored hair, open eyes, and an open mouth, and is wearing a light blue patient gown in a clinical simulation setting.

Gaumard Susie

This simulator allows students to experience the care of an adult female client with a wide range of healthcare needs. This simulator can also be converted into an older adult female client, enhancing student learning in care across the lifespan.

Medical training mannequin lying in a hospital bed wearing a blue patient gown, with eyes closed and mouth slightly open. A newborn training mannequin rests on the adult mannequin’s chest with head turned to the side and body curled inward, suggesting immediate post-delivery positioning in a clinical simulation environment.

Gaumard Victoria

This simulator allows students to experience the labor and delivery process as well as other emergent complications that can arise in obstetric clients.

Pediatric medical training mannequin lying on a hospital bed with head elevated on a pillow and arms at the sides. The mannequin is wearing a light blue hospital gown with a small multicolored pattern and is partially covered by a white blanket. A metal bed rail is visible behind the head in a clinical simulation setting.

Gaumard Pediatric Hal

This simulator allows students to care for a pediatric client with a wide range of healthcare needs, giving students the opportunity to interact with clients across the lifespan.

Neonatal medical training mannequin lying on a padded surface with a light blue towel covering the lower body and a cap on the head. A blood pressure cuff is wrapped around the upper arm and connected to a manual bulb pump and gauge resting beside the mannequin. The setting appears to be a clinical simulation environment focused on newborn assessment.

Gaumard Tory Neonatal

This simulator allows students to care for a newborn client with a wide range of healthcare needs and can be used in conjunction with the Victoria simulator.
