OBSERVATION SITUATION   REPORT TO
       
AGGRESSION If you are dealing with aggressive or threatening behavior then do this SWCC Police Department; A SWCC Police Officer will respond, assess, and assist. Call Ext. 7221, or 964-7503, Ronnie Kiser, Chief



CONCERN Incidents observed that provoke or concern but require no emergency response then do this Threat Assessment Team


 
DANGER TO SELF / OTHERS (expressed verbally or in writing) An individual expresses (verbally or in writing) a willingness or desire to harm or kill himself/herself with no specific plan.
*In this situation the danger is not imminent
* Example: An individual may write about or discuss a sense of desperation or hopelessness with death as a solution OR an individual expresses thoughts of wanting to harm another person
 
then do this Threat Assessment Team
 


 
DANGER TO SELF (In progress) An individual demonstrates (in progress) an attempt to harm or kill himself/herself or has a specific plan. *Here the danger is imminent or in progress
*Example: An individual advises that they have taken pills, has a weapon, advised that when they leave they are going to implement their suicide plan

DANGER TO OTHERS

 (in progress)

An individual demonstrates (in progress) an attempt to assault or harm another person or has a specific plan. *Here the danger is imminent or in progress.
*Example: An individual advises that he/she plans to fight, harm, or kill another and has a specific plan.

DISABILITY If you see or are dealing with a person with a disability who is in difficulty, ask them if you may contact Student Disability Services. then do this Student Disability Services


 
EMOTIONAL BEHAVIORS If you see or are dealing with an individual who "needs to talk to someone” about a personal concern or is experiencing a psychological crisis
 
then do this Threat Assessment Team


 
ILLNESS OR INJURY For medical emergencies dial 911

If you see or are dealing with a person who is injured, or ill, or whose behavior seems erratic

SEXUAL ASSAULT An individual reports they are a victim of ongoing or very recent physical or sexual abuse at the hands of a relative, guardian, caretaker, spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, or unknown. then do this SWCC Police Department; Call Ext. 7221, or 964-7503, Ronnie Kiser, Chief


 
SUBSTANCE ABUSE An individual appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs in class, or is seen in possession of same.
