Pre-Pharmacy Program of Study
Associate of Arts & Sciences- Science Major

Southwest student Shaina McFaddin was accepted
into the Appalachian College of Pharmacy and Wingate University School of
Pharmacy for the fall semester of 2009.
McFaddin completed an Associate of Arts and
Science Degree with a major in science at SWCC this past May. She will be
attending the Appalachian College of Pharmacy in the fall semester. She is the
daughter of Ernie and Rita McFaddin of Honaker and is a 2007 graduate of Honaker
High School.

Congratulations
to these students recently accepted into the region’s pharmacy schools.
All of the pictured individuals, except Frankie Rose (2nd row, 2nd from
right)are currently enrolled at the University of Appalachia College of
Pharmacy, Grundy, VA. Rose is now enrolled at the East Tennessee State
University Bill Gatton College of Pharmacy, Johnson City, TN.

William
Randall Waddell has been accepted by the Appalachian College of Pharmacy
for fall semester 2009. Waddell graduated with an Associate in Arts and
Sciences Degree, with a major in science, from SWCC in 2005.
He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree, with a
major in biology from Virginia Tech. He is currently employed as a
pharmacy technician and lives in Tazewell. He is the son of Randall and
Peggy Waddell of Tazewell.

All math and science majors enroll in SDV 101 (Orientation for
Science majors) in the first fall semester; in SDV 295 in the
following spring semester.
The SDV 101 is a two credit course taught by Dr. Susie Mullins on
M-W from 12-1:00.
The SDV 295 is a one credit course taught by Dr. Susie Mullins on
Mondays from 12-1:00 p.m. |
