Available Scholarships and Eligibility Critieria

1- You must complete all SWCC admission requirements which include
--Completion of college application
--Select a Program of study during application (required for Financial Aid)
--Submit the SWCC Financial Aid application form
--Complete assessment tests as indicated

2- All students with a 3.0 (B) GPA or greater are encouraged to apply. However, some scholarships do accept lower GPAs. 

Each scholarship will also specify any specific eligibility criteria within its listing. Based on your application responses, the Scholarship office will match you with scholarships for which you meet the criteria.

Apply for a Scholarship.. It's Easy as

1..The 2010-2011 Scholarship Application is CLOSED.  The 2011-12 Application will be available in March of 2011.

2..  Compose a personal essay in response to ONE of the following topics:
Topics for 2011-12 pending.

-At least two typed pages, double-spaced, using a 12 pitch font.

--Include your name and EMPLID or User Name on the top of each page.

--Save your essay with a filename using your lastname and firstname. FOR EXAMPLE: John Doe MS Word Document essay is named doejohn.doc.

--Email it to natalie.chambers@sw.edu 

3.. Scholarships which require provision of names and/or signatures are included in a separate printable PDF application instead of the main scholarship application.

NOTE: If you are out of high school and have attended SWCC your high school transcript is NOT required. Otherwise high school transcript is required. CLICK HERE  to print the High School Transcript Request form (PDF) and submit it to your high school with a request that the transcript be directed to the attention of Dr. Natalie Chambers-Ramsey.
