February 2007

First of all, our clinical rotations began on January 9, 2007.  We are getting the opportunity to work with patients, which is a great learning experience.  Being in clinicals gives us a chance to learn new things and to better our skills.

January went by fast, but was the start of one semester, along with Fall 2006 that changed our lives forever.  These are times that we will never forget.  Our fall semester was something that not only meant "just a new semester", but it was a brand new start.  Fall '06 was a chance to rise above our standards and potential to follow our heart.  However the month of February is also going by way too fast.  Our classes in RTH 132 have consisted of ABG's, arterial lines, and as of last week we have started CPAP and BIPAP.  We have also learned about the proper disinfections of equipment.

In RTH 245 we have started learning about mucolytics.

In NAS 162, we have learned about the endocrine system.  We are also learning about the digestive system.

We are also going over ECG's and arrhythmias
