Instructions to Visitors/Viewers

Site Navigation

The menu bar located at the top of each web page is used to navigate between the main sections of the website: Compliance Certification, Focused Response, and Quality Enhancement Plan.

Within the Compliance Certification section, the submenus contain: Section 2-Core Requirements, Section 3-Comprehensive Standards, Section 4-Federal Requirements and the Document Directory (alpha listing of supporting documentation).

The first page of each section contains the index page with a numbered compliance item listing and description. Clicking on the numbered item will open the compliance page for that item.

The viewer may return to the index page from a compliance item by choosing 'back', located on the right side of each page directly below the menu, or the viewer may move to another section using the top menu bar.

Supporting Documentation

File Type/Size
The file format of Supporting Documentation is predominately PDF (Portable Document Format-Adobe Acrobat 5.0 and above). All word processing and spreadsheet documents are published in their original state as PDF, as well as all scanned document images. The remainder of the documentation is HTML format. The document file size is noted with the document citation when the document is larger than 500kb. Click on the Adobe Icon,  to download a free copy of Acrobat Reader.

When the hyperlinked documents are large PDF files, such as the local copy of the Quality Enhancement Plan, VCCS Policy Manual Sections, the College Catalog and Student Handbook, or the Faculty or Classified Staff Handbooks, the reference citation will specify a section number/title. When the selected document opens in the browser window,  clicking on the corresponding reference citation in the left panel bookmark section will display the specific supporting information.
