Getting Started at Southwest
Four Important Steps to Success!

Step 1- APPLY

CLICK HERE to complete the ONLINE Application. There is no application fee.
Your UserName and EMPLID for use in Class Registration and other activities will be assigned immediately upon your acceptance to the College. Upon completion of the Web Application, you will be given a default password. You must change this during your first login to your account. Go to MySouthwest Help to learn about the rules for creating a secure password and activating your student accounts.   Note: You are a "Full-time" student if you plan to enroll in 12 or more credit hours. A student taking less than 12 credit hours is considered part-time.

Step 2 - Submit or complete placement assessment.

Before enrolling full time in your first college level English and/or math course, you must take assessment tests prior to registration.

 Step 3 - Register

Select class times from the Course Schedule. You can register anytime ONLINE USING the Student Information System MYSouthwest HOWEVER, DON'T GET CAUGHT WITH MISSING CLASSES OR CLASSES THAT WON'T TRANSFER!!!!

Step 4 - Pay tuition and fees.

See the tuition and fee chart. (New rate effective Fall 2008)

Registration is not complete until your tuition is paid in full. 

If you are a Financial Aid recipient and your award has been made, your tuition will be charged to your Financial Aid account.
