Project ACCESS Hosts College Day for
Russell and Tazewell County Students

Project ACCESS hosted the third annual College Day for Russell and Tazewell county students. College Day gives high school juniors and seniors information on how to access training and certificate programs offered through Southwest Virginia Community College. As part of transition services, the students also received a wealth of information about support, employment, and acad3emic services. With guidance from Project ACCESS' Transition Specialist and Academic Counselors students receive:


٠     Assistance with enrollment

٠     Accommodations for the ASSET and the COMPASS     entrance tests

٠     Tutoring Services

٠     Accommodations for college courses

٠     Class enrollment

٠     Academic counseling

٠     Academic success workshops

٠      Employment placement after graduation.

٠     Outreach and follow up services for up to 160 days post placement
