Office of Pregnant and Parenting Student Services
SWCC's Office of Pregnant and Parenting Student Services (OPPSS) provides student support services to pregnant women, expectant fathers and newly parenting students, with children up to five years of age, in an effort to increase student success and retention.
Our goal is to strengthen the academic achievement and
success of actively enrolled pregnant and parenting students.
OPPSS WILL PROVIDE PREGNANT AND PARENTING STUDENTS:
Referrals to academic services and programs
Referrals and resources for health services
Referrals to social services and community resources
Resources for counseling and/or support services for domestic violence, sexual
assault or stalking
Campus based workshops and activities such as parenting skills education,
domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking awareness & prevention
