The SWCC Upward Bound Robotics team recently competed in two state championship
competitions in March. On Saturday, March 3 they participated in the Virginia
FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Championship in Richmond. The team had a successful
day, making their way to the semi-finals round out of a field of 48 teams from
several states across the region.
The following Saturday the team competed in the West Virginia FTC Championship, where they matched up against teams from West Virginia, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
After a day of intense matches, the team from SWCC came out on top as the winner and a member of the Championship Alliance.
