Torque Wins Rock the Mountains Battle of the Rock Bands Torque, a local band formed in 2007, took first place in SWCC’s third annual Rock the Mountains: Battle of the Rock Bands.  The first place prize included $1,000 cash, a premium photo shoot with SWCC’s Photography Club, and an invitation to perform at halftime for next year’s Battle.  See BORB website. The band consists of Joe Whitt, vocals and guitar, Ryan Dye, bass, John Deel, guitar, and Corey Short on drums.  The band Good Friday was awarded with second place and $500 while CHR, third place, was presented with $250.
