Southwest Virginia Community College’s Appalachian Arts Center is proud to announce a special exhibition entitled The Clinch River Artisan Trail. This showcase is a partnership between ‘Round the Mountain: Southwest Virginia’s Artisan Network as well as Russell and Tazewell Counties. The exhibit will feature over 35 artisan, craft venue, agritourism, restaurant, and lodging sites within the two counties.

The Clinch River Artisan Trail will be featured October 14 through November 21 at the Appalachian Arts Center. The kick–off celebration will be held within the Center on Thursday, October 22, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This reception will also feature samplings from the Trail's wonderful restaurants. Everyone is invited to attend and celebrate this exciting new venture!


‘Round the Mountain is a membership organization for artisans, farmers, agritourism businesses, galleries, and sites that sell or showcase local craft and produce. The organization is currently working to create a Regional Artisan Trail Network throughout the 19 county region of Southwestern Virginia. The Trails are intended to provide tourism access to artisan studios, farms, galleries, unique lodging and restaurants as well as various other points of interest throughout the area.
