Guitar Winner Jacob Vance

Vance (second from right), 12, pictured with: brother, Justin; mother,
Heather; and Dr. J. Mark Estepp, Southwest president, was presented with
a brand new Gibson Melody Maker after the 3rd annual Battle
of the Rock Bands. The electric guitar, valued at $800, was generously
donated by Randy Conn of CONNcert Music World located in Bluefield and
Claypool Hill. Vance and his family reside in Bradshaw, WV. Vance, who
had requested a guitar for his birthday, said that he wanted to be in
next year’s Rock the Mountains: Battle of the Rock Bands.
