Christina Rowe completed her first two years of college at SWCC before entering Radford University to obtain her bachelors degree in business administration. As a junior at RU she received a job opportunity from Abercrombie and Fitch as a model. Her senior year she was promoted to manager in training and only one month after graduation Christina received her fourth promotion and was managing a store with forty employees.
Six promotions and only two years later at twenty-five, Christina is among the youngest of her peers as District Manager of the Southern Baltimore area for Abercrombie and Fitch. Christina oversees the operations of five stores with three hundred employees in one of the highest grossing retail chains nationwide.
Christina will be competing in the Miss Virginia USA 2009 Pageant on October 25th at Virginia Intermont College in Bristol VA. Christina did her hometown proud as Miss Grundy USA. She placed 3rd in the Miss Virginia USA 2008 pageant among some of the most beautiful young women in the state.
Christina was crowned Miss SWCC 2002; in addition to the title she received a scholarship to further her education. Christina speaks highly of her Community College experience and has encouraged many of her family and friends to pursue the opportunities SWCC has to offer.
“Attending SWCC is one of the best choices I have ever made. With SWCC as a first step toward my higher education, I was able to enter Radford debt free. With only two years remaining to complete my degree, my education cost was a fraction of what it would have been otherwise”.
Miss Virginia USA 2009 is to be held at Virginia Intermont College in Bristol, VA October 25th at 8:00pm. Tickets are $35.00 at the door.
