 Piano Virtuosi to Perform in Bluefield

Kim will also perform on Sunday, November 2, at 3:00 p.m. in the King Community Center at Southwest Virginia Community College. She will be joined by pianist Vladimir Valjarevic and violinist Miroslav Hristov. Admission is by voluntary donation at the door.

Bluefield College Music Department and Southwest Virginia Community College are pleased to sponsor a performance by young piano virtuosi Min Kyung Kim on Friday, October 31. The performance will be from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, 200 Duhring Avenue, Bluefield, WV. The program will include works by R. Schumann, Debussy, Rachmaninov and Beethoven. Admission is by voluntary donation at the door.

Seventeen year-old pianist Min Kyung Kim dazzled the audience at last year’s SWCC Festival of the Arts during her performance with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. She has won many piano competitions in her home country of Korea and was the semi-finalist of the Junior Gina Bachauer Competition and participated in the International Keyboard Institute and Festival this year in New York City. Kim is a student of Pavlina Dokovska and Vladimir Valjarevic.
