SwVCC Photography Students Win Awards

Southwest Virginia Community College photography students took part in the 25th Annual Princeton Camera Club Photography Exhibit. The exhibit featured over 250 entries by 51 amateur photographers from West Virginia, Virginia, Tennessee, and Florida. Their work was on display recently at the Mercer Mall in Bluefield, West Virginia. Terry Long, SwVCC photography instructor said, “Southwest photography students over the years have competed very well in this contest. This year was no exception. I am very proud of our students.
Rachel Hess (left) won third place in the scenic category. Randall Jackson (right) won second place in the flower category, honorable mention in the flower category, and honorable mention in the night lighting category.

Winners from Pam Robbins’ Spring ’07 Photography 195 class were; Megan Puckett (left) of Hurley, who placed second and earned an honorable mention and Sara Barker (right) of Grundy, who placed third. ”
