ITP 195 Topics in Introduction to Programming and Design - Leveling Course (4 credits)

The leveling course will be an introductory course to provide students with an understanding of basic computer design, logic, software development life cycle, and basic database concepts.  This course will be used to get everyone up to an equal starting point.

 ITN 171 UNIX Course (3 credits)

This course will be based on the course description provided by CGI.

 ITP 120 Java Programming I (4 credits)

Entails instruction in fundamentals of object-oriented programming using Java. This course emphasizes program construction, algorithm development, coding, debugging, and documentation of console and graphical user interface applications. Co-requisites or Pre-requisites ITP 100

 ITP 220 Java Programming II (4 credits)

Imparts instruction in application of advanced object-oriented techniques to application development using Java. Course content emphasizes database connectivity, inner classes, collection classes, networking, and threads. Co-requisites or Pre-requisites ITP 120

 ITP 132 C++ Programming I (4 credits)

Centers instruction in fundamentals of object-oriented programming and design using C++. Course content emphasizes program construction, algorithm development, coding, debugging, and documentation of C++ applications. Co-requisites or Pre-requisites ITP 100

 ITP 232 C++ Programming II  (4 credits)

Presents in-depth instruction of advanced object-oriented techniques for data structures using C++. Co-requisites or Pre-requisites ITP 132

 ITD 132 Structured Query Language (3 credits)

Incorporates a working introduction to commands, functions and operators used in SQL for extracting data from standard databases. Co-requisites or Pre-requisites ITE 115

 ITD 110 Web Page Design I (4 credits) ( HTML, XHTML, CSS)

Stresses a working knowledge of web site designs, construction, and management using HTML or XHTML. Course content includes headings, lists, links, images, image maps, tables, forms, and frames. Co-requisites or Pre-requisites ITE 115

 ITP 140 Client Side Programming (3 credits)

Provides instruction in fundamentals of Internet application design, development, and deployment using client side scripting language(s). Co-requisites or Pre-requisites ITP100, ITD110 and a programming Language.

 ITP 240 Server Side Programming (3 credits)

Centers around instruction in fundamentals of Internet application design, development, and deployment.  Course content includes implementation of server component models, security, and database connectivity using server-side programming. Co-requisites or Pre-requisites ITP140 and ITD110.  Emphasis on Perl.

 ITP 198 C++ Programming Lab II    3 credits (Completion of a C++/Oracle project)

 ITP 298 Java Programming Lab I    3 credits (Completion of a Java/Oracle project)
