FREE Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition for Students, Faculty, and Staff -You can download it here by logging into Blackboard.
All computers set up and serviced by the Computer Servicing Department at Southwest are set to be automatically updated with operating system patches and updates. It is the employee's responsibility to:
1. allow these updates to be performed as needed2. refrain from downloading software or utilities that will interfere with the operation of the system
3. back up their important data as needed
4. be aware of current email viruses as noted below and refrain from opening suspect emails or attachments
Trend Micro provides a service called Housecall which will allow you
to do a free online scan of your system for viruses at
http://housecall.trendmicro.com
