

Journeymen/Master Plumbers, Electricians, HVAC Technicians, and Gas Fitters are now required by the Virginia Board for Contractors to take a number of continuing education hours specific to their trade as part of the licensing process.
Anyone obtaining or renewing a license must take continuing education in his/her respective profession.
Plumbers, HVAC Technicians, and Electricians must take three hours of continuing education in their field.
Gas Fitters must take a one hour course.
Each course below covers new definitions, code changes, general requirements, impacts on the job, general use and special equipment included in the respective codes.
2013 classes are offered February 9th, April 13th, June 8th, August 10th, October 12th and December 7th during the following times:
Electrical (8AM - 11AM) $75.00
HVAC (11AM - 2PM) $75.00
Plumbing (2PM - 5PM) $75.00
Gas Fitters Date (5PM - 6PM) $50.00
Anyone seeking an A, B, or C license for the first time must take this class. One designated employee or member of management must attend the class. If you currently hold a license and are merely changing the classification, it is not mandatory to take the class as long as you possess a current license and are not changing your business type.
The class C contractor's class is held in Davis Hall on the following dates in 2013:
March 16th, May 11th, July 13th, September 14th, November 9th
