Application Process

  1. All positions require a completed State of Virginia application form. If you have Acrobat Reader (if not, download from:) http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep.html

installed on your computer, you will be able to complete the Virginia State Application (Microsoft Word 97 or above is required to use the form) or Virginia State Application(PDF file, Acrobat Reader is required) (pages 1-3) on-line in your browser. However, we cannot accept on-line submission at this time. You must print the completed application and sign it before submitting it for review.

  1. Applications are active only during the recruitment for the position (s) for which you apply. New applications will be required in order for you to be considered for future job openings.

  2. Please take time to complete your application thoroughly. It is the primary tool used to evaluate your qualifications for the position.

  3. Applications that are received after the closing date will not be processed.

  4. A State of Virginia application form must be completed in full and signed at the bottom. A resume may be attached to supplement your completed application, but may not be submitted in lieu of a completed application.

The Human Resources Office will contact those applicants who are to be interviewed within a few weeks after the closing date listed on the vacancy announcement. Applicants not scheduled for an interview will be notified by mail of the status of the position after a final selection is made.
