The Guide to Career Prospects in Virginia provides teachers,
guidance counselors, educational administrators, students, and
the general public with current and comprehensive information on
Virginia careers. Covering over 340 jobs, the Guide uses
information from newspaper articles, job ads, professional
association websites, and employers to detail day-to-day tasks,
educational requirements, essential skills, paths to career
advancement, and job outlooks for a broad range of careers. |

A new tool has been developed to help
students navigate the process of selecting careers, finding
majors, estimating the cost of college, finding and applying for
financial aid and scholarships, indentify transfer pathways, and
planning for transfer from a community college to a four-year
