Southwest Virginia Career Connections Are Getting Better!  The Career Resource Center offers career events Fall and Spring semesters designed to prepare students and alumni for successful employment results!!!

Job Search Clinics- Many well-trained individuals have problems landing a job that matches their skills and training because they  lack job-seeking "know-how".  Job Search Clinics prepare SWCC students for successful outcomes before they meet potential employers. Eight powerful workshops have been developed to polish students’ job-seeking skills:  Team Building Leads to Success, Researching Company Profiles, The Resume: A Tactical Document,  Business Communication Skills, Networking in Tough Times, Workplace Ethics, Interviewing Tips, Polishing Your Professional Image.

Career Fairs - sponsored or co-sponsored by SWCC, introduce students and alumni to employment opportunities with over 200 regional employers. Students can network, gather up-to-date employment information, and often conduct initial interviews that lead to job offers.
