Welcome to the introductory issue of SWCC’s Business Connection

e-Newsletter!

 

This issue will introduce to or reacquaint  readers with the services provided by SWCC’s economic development and workforce related programs.  SWCC’s Workforce Development/Continuing Education Division, the Career Network Center and the Construction Academy all work closely with the area’s business community to develop programs that are beneficial to both the existing workforce and the workers of the future.  Both the Small Business Development Center and the Procurement Technical Assistance Center deliver a multitude of services to the region’s existing businesses and  entrepreneurs.

The Workforce Development/Continuing Education Division at SWCC works closely with the area’s business, industry, government agencies, school systems and the community to develop programs that encourage the growth of business and industry in the area. 

 

 

Text Box: Currently, SWCC’s Career Resource Center and Workforce Development Division  are participating in a partnership campaign to conduct an area-wide business survey.  This survey will  gather information about the needs and concerns of the business community and provide information that will assist SWCC in better meeting the ever-changing needs of the business community, the existing workforce and the workforce of the future. SWCC wants to have its “fingers on the pulse” of workforce training needs to help ensure our area companies’ ability to remain competitive in the global market place.
